ABOUT NAGEEK ART
Drawer. Painter. Creator. Figuring-it-out-as-I-goer
My name is Lisa and I’m a self-taught artist from North Dublin.

I work under the name 'Nageek' - my surname backwards! There are 2 main reasons for this: I've always been fascinated with Da Vinci being left-handed and writing backwards (I think its due to me being a leftie too! Woohoo lefties) and sometimes I feel like I'm doing this art thing a bit backwards. I took the long way round... I was art-obsessed as a young'un and always had this vision of myself as a painter in the future. However, I've always been torn between writing and drawing and so I chose English in college, got a MA in Writing from NUIG and became an English language teacher.
I drew and painted throughout my teens and early twenties but I didn't really start to take my art seriously until I was living in Spain a few years ago. There the urge to draw became stronger and the fear of showing people my art weakened. I've been selling and showing my art online and at exhibitions and markets for about three years now and I don't want to stop.
I’m really drawn to the sea and the moon... there's a pull and connection there which I'm very happy to explore. I work with watercolour and digital in equal parts and I’m always open to finding new ways of expressing myself.

I completed my first commission in 2018 and, thankfully, I've had a steady flow of them since. So far, my art has found homes in Ireland, England and Canada, Bulgaria and Portugal, Wales, Spain and the UAE.
